Appalachian Power plans upgrades to serve Google data centers in Botetourt
Utility filed plans to rebuild 17 miles of 138-kV transmission line and construct a new substation for Google's $3-billion three-building campus at Greenfield; SCC application scheduled for fall 2027 with construction completing late 2029.
